But at the same time regret that your work is stuck on paper until you have scanned the image? Then Inkling is an indispensable tool for you. This digital sketch pen allows you to sketch with a real ballpoint pen on any paper. While you are drawing, all strokes are recorded electronically which can then be imported as raster or vector artwork in to your preferred graphics applicationfor further editing. With just one button click you can record layers, for instance, to separate preparatory and final drawings. These layers are then retained after import.

It really is the best I've seen in a while. I'd describe it as the UK's take on CSI but better! John Luther (played by Idris Elba) is not only a senior investigator but somewhat of a menace himself as he's constantly faced with battles against good and evil. I'd recommend you check out the 2nd series on Tuesdays at 9pm on BBC1. And if you're like me, you'll probably love it so much that you'll find the entire 1st series and watch that too!

I have to admit I'm a bit of a 'tweeter'. I kind of got hooked after deciding to write my dissertation on Twitter. I just think it's amazing how much of an impact it's made in such a small amount of time, and as more and more people are drawn to the medium (call me crazy but) I see a revolution. In a sense there's already been one! Like many others I'm not only a tweeter, but a 'facebooker', I'm on LinkedIn, I use spotify AND iTunes, I have an iPod, I'm a 'YouTuber', a Blackberry owner and the list goes on. Technology's changing, it's pretty much taken over our lives. Now I ain't necessarily saying that's a bad thing but what does it mean for us? I always wonder what would be happen if there was some sort of technological extinction. Quite frankly we'd be lost. Although, it is fair to say that Twitter and all the other gadgets and platforms we use have been beneficial in supporting communication, networking and business. So useful in fact that they've grown their own Universes! Check out the 'Twitterverse' below.

All those funeral adverts with old contestants, billboards everywhere reminding us that it was coming to an end. Well it seems they made a mistake, word on the street is that the show will be back on our screens by the beginning of 2012! Channel 5 have apparently made a huge £200m deal with the show's producers Endemol, only two years though so not sure how that's going to pan out. I don't really know what to make of this to be honest. I'd say I was a fan of the show in its early stages but it all just seemed to go downhill half way through its 11 season run. Never know though, Channel 5 may be able to resurrect Big Brother with that spark it once had...we'll just have to wait and see!

This is great for a company who's been established no longer than two years. The service allows users to stream free music giving the option of either a free package with limted services or a paid package with unlimted use. I have spotify myself and I'd say it's been extremely helpful, you literally type in the song/artist you want to hear and listen! Of course they don't have access to ALL the music in the world, but it's a fantastic way of keeping up with new music or reminiscing over the classics. I have the free version so there's only so much I can do, nevertheless it's reduced the amount of music I now buy.

Considering this then, I wonder what its affect will be on record sales? Access to music in this way could potentially see a decrease. On the other hand, I guess it is a way of deterring people from downloading illegally. This Swedish company is definitely one to look out for in coming years. We could have another Facebook revolution on our hands!

Original article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/8367955/Spotify-signs-up-1m-paying-subscribers-ahead-of-US-debutm.html

The original iPad made its debut in April last year with almost 15 million being sold. It's no wonder the makers at Apple have decided to invest in developing a much faster and thinner version! It must be a tad annoying for those who've just bought the older version, but as with any Apple product it's to be expected. I'm still upset that my 'iPod Touch' is now lacking all the features I wanted in the first place! Either way, take a look at Steve Jobs giving us the lowdown on the new product.

It has been annouced that Channel 5's Richard Desmond is set to launch 'OK! TV' with the new presenters of the weekly show to be announced in around 2 weeks. Apparently, the show will be an attempt to 'replicate the success' of OK! Magazine, essentially creating a TV alternative. I'm really trying to keep an open mind about this one, yet I do wonder what a 'TV version' of OK! Magazine would entail. I'm assuming the usual 'celeb interview' and maybe some news from 'starville', like the 'who's-dating-whos' and 'beach snaps', but what's new? Not gonna knock it til I've seen it but I am keen to see what they come up with.

In recent years we've seen a wealth of celebrity-interview style shows like 'Friday Night with Jonathon Ross', 'The Graham Norton Show' and 'Piers Morgan's Life Stories' which have all had their own signature twist. It's not fair to say it's all been done before, but you'd have to come up with something (or someone) quite original to stand out right now. Guess we'll have to wait and see what Channel 5's got under their sleeve!

Original article: http://www.mediaweek.co.uk/news/1050030/Channel-5-launch-OK-TV/

I’m not really much of an ‘online shopper’, but this story caught my eye. ASOS is set to launch the first ever ‘Facebook Store’ on 27th January. Interesting. Surely people would just go on the actual ASOS site to buy items tight? Yet ASOS claim that for many users who already interact with the site through Facebook, this will be a much more convenient option. And evidently a great way to draw in more customers/profit ey! I can see it on my news feed now “Lucy just bought a pair of camel harem trousers”. Facebook seem to have a finger in every pie nowadays, before you know it we’ll have Facebook banking! I’m not complaining but it would be nice if some of that money was coming my way! Mark holla at yo’ girl!

Coming Soon. The latest version of Apple's iOS software will turn all iPhones into Wi-Fi hotspots, according to reports.

How will this compare to the Android phones?

The IOS 4.3 upgrade will allow users to share the iPhone's 3G connection with up to five Wi-Fi devices.

This has been a feature on most Android phones, like the Samsung Galaxy, so Apple have decided to prove that they do indeed have the best smart technology.

What about the Networks?

UK networks will not be happy with this option. Some of them charge extra for connections, so will they loose out on customers being able to share?

Either way, well done Apple, just reduce your prices for the future of technology.
